Sunlight and orientation in a building condition the use of both interior and exterior spaces.
In the case of this house developed on two floors, there is an idea of taking advantage of the afternoon sun, which hits the front of the lot. Knowing that any upper floor in front of the lot would generate shade, in this case it was decided to move the block on the upper floor to almost the back of the lot, thus allowing the afternoon sun to enter freely.

As for the housing program, the public part is located on the ground floor. Upon entering, we are greeted by a large living room with views of the patio and the pool. In the middle, in a module covered in wood that seeks to connect with the parasols on the upper floor, the bathroom and the hall are housed, and behind this, the staircase. This block creates a virtual separation between the living space and the dining room-kitchen. Finally, behind the kitchen there is a comfortable laundry room with direct access to the patio and a practical bathroom with an entrance from the outside.

The different spaces are generated through offset concrete planes, and the large windows generate a great complicity with the exterior, breaking the boundaries.
A flat slab runs through the entire floor, giving it a sense of continuity.
As for the extension to the exterior, a large gallery with a grill is housed under the block of bedrooms on the upper floor, arranged perpendicular to the public sector.
This block has a different morphology to that on the ground floor. It is a rectangular block, parallel to the street, white in colour. It is only perforated on the front to allow the afternoon sun to enter the master bedroom. This contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms and the dressing room.

The interior is also completely white, to counteract the use of charged materials, such as concrete and wood on the ground floor.
This body, with the scarce appearance of columns, gives the sensation of floating, a game that is reinforced by the contrast between the materiality of the concrete of the “zero” and its pristine whiteness. Thus, a gallery is achieved with both fronts free that allows you to fully enjoy the views of the park and the pool.
