A complete renovation conceived and designed to accommodate a young family with very clear ideas and a strong identity that from the very beginning required a warm and comfortable space to welcome friends and live in the joy of conviviality. The stratigraphy of the existing space looked like a typical 1970s home, spaces that were not very fluid and rooms that needed to be renovated also in terms of energy; functionality and sustainability come together in the management of the space.The first design choice that immediately married the client's requests was to create an open space, able to accommodate all the functions of the living area in a large room with windows on two sides.

As in all our projects the theme of artificial light creates scenarios and settings that define the character of a space, the architectural light here is designed to conceal structural elements, which in the living area cut the room in two and so to avoid the shear effect the structural concrete beam, connected to the pillar, becomes a blade of light that softly illuminates the whole living area; here a geometric wall motif in bronze color, creeps right into the niches fading into an elegant gilding.

Materials become part of the aesthetic narrative with a design lexicon rich in episodes and cues; wood and wall decorations alternate in a sober and refined balance. The golden-hued oak floor becomes the backdrop against which brushstrokes of color can be inserted, a highly varied palette that chorally creates a tailored, warm and welcoming space, a gentle and elegant place.
