Private house in Inverigo

It's a small house located in the countryside in north of Italy. The starting point was an old “roccolo” used as birds haunting tower that has been hidden in an early 50’s extension. The aim of the design was to cancel the 50’s extension in order to give back the original typological character at the haunting tower.

Beside that a new extension has been designed. A new volume is grafted to the old tower through an hinge that open the two facade in a wide angle toward the view over the landscape.

The two clear volumes articulate the main interior functions in a simple layout: kitchen-livingroom in the ground floor, master bedroom-single bedrooms in the first floor.
