A research of vibrant dissonances for a Trastevere Apartment where historic elements intertwine with bold contemporary additions and fluorescent volumes. The result is Casa Rapsodia: a minimalist and sharply defined interior crafted from a select palette of materials, where color becomes the key to delineating and separating spaces.






Strong, vivid accents interact with the preexisting features of the property, a typical Roman home. The architects juxtapose the old cement tiles with brushed and troweled gray resin, creating a dynamic contrast with lacquered wood and saturated hues. Cool tones of blue and gray alternate with vibrant, pop-inspired shades like orange and lobster red.
