The intervention involves the renovation of a 1950s villa, which has a small open space, and which is located in a corner lot between two streets in the central area of ​​the city of Rovigo. The project intends to maintain some strong elements of the building: the exposed brickwork on the façade, some decorative mouldings, the shape of the roof, the size and position of the openings.

The project also includes a new internal distribution and the addition of a small volume superimposed on the existing terrace. The relationship between inside/outside and the public space (the street) is mediated by a wall that acts as a "filter", which starting from the facade towards the street, and taking its inclination, defines a more private internal area. Stone frames of different shapes redefine the window openings. Inside, light materials and colors generate a neutral and bright space.
