With projects in Tokyo, Paris, Lisbon, New York, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo, Studio Arthur Casas operates from offices in São Paulo, New York, and Lisbon, bringing together a vast repertoire recognized both nationally and internationally. Since the practice's founding in 1990, Arthur Casas has received major awards and participated in prominent architecture biennials.
With a team of 80 architects, designers, and urban planners, Studio Arthur Casas has delivered approximately 500 projects in the last five years, including residences, hotels, buildings, offices, retail spaces, and restaurants.
Beyond its wide range of typologies, the Studio designs at every scale—from architecture to furniture, including finishes and materials. “The perception of space is holistic; it is experienced not only through our eyes, but through all our senses, our bodies, and our emotions,” explains the architect, who views architecture and design as essential factors in shaping users’ experiences of space, while creating cohesive, immersive environments.
For him, architecture should neither follow trends nor seek dramatic or spectacular effects. “My intention is to create living, welcoming, empathetic, and flexible spaces, filled with opportunities for interaction and capable of transforming the lives of those who inhabit them over time,” says Arthur.
