Henning Larsen Design is behind the interior design, furniture, signs and decorations in the CBS Raw Material Storage Building in a close collaboration with CBS and the consulting engineers.
Henning Larsen Design has designed customised furniture as well as furniture for the offices, common spaces, group rooms, meeting facilities and lounge. The overall theme has been simplicity and transparency to ensure that the open facade of the building towards the Frederiksberg Gardens is visible from all spaces. In addition, Henning Larsen Design has designed the signs and decorations in the entire building.
The design is based on the architectural expression as well as the use of materials and colours and for instance includes facade signs, maps, door signs and decorative plastic sheets on the glass walls of the meeting rooms and offices, which provide the same inflow of daylight and transparence but also a necessary shield in the very open building.
The Raw Material Storage building is part of the former Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory in which CBS is already housed in part of the renovated buildings. In connection with the renovation of the old storage building, Henning Larsen Architects has taken into great consideration the original industrial expression and the interaction with the other buildings.
