CORE partnered with James Beard Award-winning Chai Pani Restaurant Group to translate the vibrant essence of the brand's original concept into a bold flagship at Union Market.
As guests enter the restaurant, they are absorbed in a dynamic welcome zone, complete with a Pani Puri cart and Chai Pani's uber-cool merchandise. Beyond is the bar and dining room energized by vibrant florals and other festive touches that bring the liveliness - and even some of the happy chaos - of the streets of India to Chai Pani. The client recognized that the brand must be evolved to adapt to its new urban context and the DC guest, while still reflecting their other locations. Every element was calibrated to create an experience that feels immersive, functional, and on-brand for the iconic Indian street food concept. The Union Market restaurant stands as what the client proudly calls the "best representation" of their brand.
