Chapultepec 230

Vertebral as Architects

Nestled in the heart of Mexico City, Chapultepec 230 is a ten-story mixed-use building designed to seamlessly blend with its urban environment while providing a sanctuary of tranquility. Positioned on a serene corner in the Roma neighborhood, the project capitalizes on its location with a rhythmic concrete portico that wraps both sides, creating a harmonious perception of symmetry and balance.

The concrete portico not only defines the building’s facade but also generates frames for independent balconies. These balconies offer residents a personal space to connect with nature through lush vegetation, enhancing the visual and sensory experience of urban living. The modular concrete structure allows for six distinct apartment typologies, catering to the diverse needs and lifestyles of both national and foreign clients seeking modern living spaces.

The variation in apartment sizes and layouts ensures adaptability, providing efficient yet generous living spaces that meet the needs of a diverse urban population.

The ground floor of Chapultepec 230 features an open design, integrating commercial spaces with a public interior garden. This garden acts as an urban oasis, offering a green corridor that encourages social and cultural connectivity within the neighborhood. It fosters a seamless flow between the two adjacent streets, enhancing the pedestrian experience and promoting community engagement.
The interior garden on the ground floor and the rooftop garden provide residents with direct access to nature. These green spaces serve as communal areas where inhabitants can relax and enjoy a sense of calm amidst the busy city. The rooftop garden, in particular, offers panoramic views of the cityscape, creating a perfect retreat for residents to unwind and connect with nature.

Chapultepec 230 exemplifies a new era of urban living where the boundaries between nature and architecture blur. The building’s design promotes a lifestyle that harmonizes with the environment, offering residents a unique living experience. It stands as a model for urban development, showcasing how thoughtful design can transform city living into a harmonious, nature-infused experience.
This project not only meets a critical housing need in Mexico City but also sets a new standard for urban residential design. By providing efficient, functional, and generous living spaces that are in constant dialogue with nature, Chapultepec 230 redefines urban living, offering a balanced and enriched lifestyle for its residents.
