The latest citizenM hotel is located in Miami Worldcenter, a mixed-use development in the heart of the city. It is an ideal location for people traveling for business that also want to enjoy the vibrant culture and nightlife of Miami. Miami Worldcenter is one of the biggest developments in the US at present. Next to the hotel, it will host retail spaces, but also residences, and a convention center. It is located within walking distance of downtown and the harbor, in a green and pedestrian-friendly environment. As a long-term partner from citizenM, concrete has been responsible for the design of all hotels since the first hotel to open at Schiphol Amsterdam in 2008. For Miami Worldcenter both the exterior and interior are designed by Concrete and executed by the architectural firm Gensler.

Based on the concept of "affordable luxury”, Concrete designed an 11-story building inspired by the city of Miami itself. Miami is a very suggestive city: amazing weather, beautiful beaches, crazy nightlife, a strong Cuban influence and a vibrant Art Week make it a unique destination in the USA. The proximity of the harbor and the views towards the cruise capital of the world echoes in the design of the citizenM. The architecture is reminiscent of cruise ships thanks to the horizontal layering of the sun decks.

Strong horizontal lines define the different floors. Like a cruise ship, the top two stories are set back, creating a terrace where the rooftop, pool, and bar are located. The two top decks are connected by an iconic red staircase that makes the building immediately recognisable.

In a world where an average hotel has lots of different rooms and rates citizenM has one - an awesome one. Designed to fit the needs of a conscious business traveler, like a king size bed with the softest linen, powerful rain shower, WiFI and ambience control and nothing you don’t need, like pillow chocolates. The size of the room of 15m2 is defined by the bed at the facade. A large picture frame window shows the surrounding and gives lots of light to the room.

Like all citizenM hotels, the heart of the hotel is the communal area on ground floor, created to act as your own luxurious living room or work space. One of citizenM’s signature pieces is the black cabinet, filled with artworks, quirky sculptures, books and objects from all around the world. In Miami Worldcenter, the cabinet breathes a new life thanks to the curved shape, inspired by the waves that crash on Miami’s beach. The living rooms are inviting and eye-catching with colorful and luxurious designers furniture by Vitra, another of citizenM long term partners. Embracing Miami’s vibrant cultural landscape, citizenM Miami Worldcenter also showcases several artworks selected by local artists.

The hotel’s rooftop is a new addition for citizenM and a highlight for the hotel. Now, citizenM guests can enjoy the hotel also from the roof. Miami Worldcenter is also one of the few citizenMs to feature a pool, adding another element of luxury to the guests’ experience.

citizenM Miami Worldcenter stands out as one of the first citizenM hotels that strongly combine business and leisure. In current times, the line between work and play is more and more blurred. citizenM Miami Worldcenter accommodates this hybrid experience: thanks to the hotel’s rooftop guests can make the most of their trip. After work meetings, you can enjoy the beautiful Florida weather while sipping a Pina Colada with your feet dipped in the pool.

The interior design and the architecture reflect the look and feel of Miami with palm trees, retro white-and-red-striped sun loungers, and a cabana-inspired rooftop bar. This color choice reflects the vibrancy, energy, and style of Miami while also maintaining the brand identity of citizenM.

citizenM celebrates art and supports local artists everywhere it goes. In citizenM Miami Worldcenter, the art is also on the façade: FriendsWithYou, an acclaimed LA-based collaboration between Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III created playful and colorful sculptures that deck the building.
