Clichy Waterfront

On its north side, the town of Clichy has a continuous interface with the Seine which starts at the Asnières Bridge and goes as far as Saint Ouen, incorporating large urban renewal areas with a major aim of enhancing the Seine river front. Our urban planning scheme favours the emergence of a waterfront. : The figures of our urban layout are distinguished by unique buildings or totems, linear buildings and right-angled buildings which, together, recompose an urban skyline facing the Seine. The scheme features emerging buildings that are defined by “high points” together with linear or right-angle figures of “low points” and the juxtaposition of these contrasting forms shapes the cityscape of the housing complex, while creating flat roofs and numerous openings.
