Located in São Paulo, this penthouse was designed by Estúdio Maré, under the direction of Lívia Leite, to meet the client's desire for a young home, with bright colors and comfortable spaces to entertain. With 115m² and a deadline that began in October 2023, the renovation brings a combination of modernity and comfort, maintaining the essence of the original apartment.
Among the highlights of the project, the preservation of elements such as the wooden floor, the staircase and the kitchen countertop were essential to maintain the identity of the property. The exposed concrete slab, for example, became a highlight of the renovation. In the kitchen, a new black granite countertop was created for the laundry room, while the island was decorated with pitaya granite in a lighter tone, which brought lightness and integration with the living room.
The guest bedroom on the lower floor was enhanced with a door in colored metalwork and glass, creating an elegant contrast with the living room's television wall. The staircase, in turn, was painted terracotta and received new carpentry steps, ensuring a renewed and modern look to the space.
On the upper floor, a new lavatory was installed in the old closet, with vibrant colors, at the client's request, while the apartment's outdoor area was enhanced with landscaping that connects to the interior's chromatic design. The master suite's bathroom was designed with a glass opening, providing greater light to the space and privacy, thanks to the landscaping placed in the room.
The carpentry, which was designed by Estúdio Maré, was done by Caetanos Evolution, bringing customization and adaptation of each piece of furniture to the new layout. For the coverings, Portobelloshop and Telhanorte provided high-quality materials for the guest bathroom and master suite. Ladrilar supplied the tiles used in the guest bathroom and outdoor area. The lighting fixtures by Reka and Marilena Gonçalves were chosen for the living room and guest bedroom, while general lighting was provided by Yamamura. Serralheria GDA was responsible for the colorful metalwork door in the guest bedroom and the folding door in the outdoor area. For the furniture, Estúdio Maré selected sophisticated pieces from Menu Casa, such as the sofa in the living room, and the stools from Marcenaria Baraúna for the kitchen. The chairs and tables for the outdoor area, as well as the home office chair, were supplied by Fernando Jaeger Pronto pra levar.
The work was carried out by Mota Engenharia, while La Cuba supplied the sink in the guest bathroom and Marmoraria Paulista was responsible for the countertops, which were also made of granite for the island and laundry room. The shower enclosures in the bathrooms were installed by House Glass. With a careful selection of suppliers and a unique design vision, Estúdio Maré was able to create a sophisticated and welcoming environment, perfect for meeting the needs of a client who wanted a young, functional home with personality.
