GROUP A has recently completed a new interior fit-out for the offices of contractor Cordeel Netherlands, housed in a new build located next to the production workshops of the company inZwijndrecht.
The design reflects both nature and identity of the Cordeel organisation by its sturdy and contemporary looks. Characteristic for the interior is the deployment of robust materials in both the open and closed office spaces. Extensive use of glass walls provides optimum transparency in the office environment, and softens the appearance of separations between spaces. Places of meeting and interaction such as the reception, boardroom and multfunctional lunchroom, all have its own character by applying a complementing materialisation and specific color scheme.
Both materialisation and detailing, strongly contribute to the orienting qualities of the central core for the organisation. To enhance these qualities and to ensure a neutral appearance, doors, fire hose reels, pantries and the kitchen, are fully integrated into the layout and finish of the core.
A powerful timber slat wall over three floors, distinguishes the representative entrance area. The bluesteel staircase provides a backbone connecting the three office floors. The steel, the clear glased solid oak window frames in the partitions, and the detailing, all fit in a palette of powerful materials that refer to the core activities activity of Cordeel: Construction!
