In order to relocate Corporativo C’s staff to a new space within the Neuchatel Corporate building in Mexico City, Work+ —Serrano+'s corporate interiors firm— carried out a turnkey project in synergy with Zwark as general contractor.

The design concept was based on the company's main product: its cars, proposing a scheme with different work scenarios. The configuration of the space is created from organic lines inspired by automotive design, which generate fluid corridors that unify the entire space, like a circuit, and that take the user on a journey where each curve presents a new environment. The company’s DNA is present in each of the areas through materiality, the correct use of light and shapes, as well as the celebration of the 21st century automobile.

The first contact and journey begin in the elevator lobby, which frames the reception area with lines of light on the floor, furniture and walls, representing the technological world they are part of. The back wall curves, giving way to the operative areas and collaborative work lounge zones. The sensation of fluidity and movement is achieved thanks to the change of materials and the continuity given to them in the different planes of the space.

The program includes work areas for approximately 220 users, a multipurpose area with capacity for more than 100 people, meeting rooms with different capacities and configurations, an employee cafeteria and different support areas.

One of the guidelines for this project was the use of natural light, both in private areas and in work stations, as part of the intrinsic right that must exist in offices. Each operational block is made up of different types of furniture that encourage changes in posture and an opening in the ceiling that generates spaciousness, in addition to framing each of the spaces.

At one end is “The Museum,” a space designed to house trophies, photographs, scale models and other items that are part of their history. Each item is displayed either on a pedestal or on the backlit organic shelving wall at the back of the space. Moving light was a key factor, as was the contrast of whites with the grays and blacks of the main hallway.

Acoustics was an aspect that was carefully considered in all spaces in terms of privacy and comfort. The walls of meeting rooms and closed spaces were built up to the bottom bed of the slab and sealed. Additionally, absorbent acoustic panels made from recycled PET were placed on the walls as a solution to the problem.

To one side of the museum is the boardroom, which is located in a central part of the space. This room maintains the organic language which is present in the ceiling, in the custom-made marble table and in the asymmetrical window that looks out onto the rest of the office to frame the company logo as a focal piece.
