One Light is a rural retreat center, a Buddhist space for contemplation we designed in Crestone, Colorado, high in the Rocky Mountains.

Occupying a stunning site surrounded by ancient pine trees, the building synthesizes a number of ancient, timeless ideas about spaces for meditation and spirituality into an elegant statement of placemaking and living in harmony with nature.  

Centered around meditation hall inspired by timeless architectural concepts from multiple cultures, the project also includes communal spaces for living, dining and recreation.
