Cycle House is a project based on the concept of “life cycle”, which is marked between the birth and death of an individual, during which you develop physically, psychologically and intellectually. Deep analysis revealed that a nutritional deficiency in the first five years of life can interrupt this development and prevent children from reaching adulthood. Currently 245,000 people a year in Senegal suffer from malnutrition, representing a large fraction of the country ́s child population and affecting the performance of communities in Baghere.
Our project aims to improve the situation that is experienced today, thinking of the life cycle concept, the objective is to represent this cycle and dissipate the negative impact of malnutrition through a design process that allows a continuous flow between the stages of life. This scheme seeks to shelter, prevent and improve the situation of children and mothers in Senegal by allowing people in poor conditions to find improvement and unlock new opportunities regarding their development. Through an arduous design process taking into consideration the user and seeking to meet these premises, we achieved the final product under the name of Cycle House.
