Stripped of its original defensive function, a unique living environment has been created on the characteristic Schiereiland. Alongside our role as designer of five residential blocks, we are also the co-ordinating and executive architects for the whole project. We have designed the new buildings to reference the old industrial structures, so that the character of the imposing island is maintained, impressions of the past are re-experienced and a unique living environment, in which a Woerdenaar can identify with, is created.
