The clients work in the large-scale retail trade sector and took over an old nursery covered by vegetation to create a storage center serving the other company structures.

“We need to transform this shoebox!”.

The story of this project starts from this request, a warehouse that communicates with the surrounding space and seems to be animated.

There were essentially two functional aspects to be resolved: shielding from sunlight combined with a lighting solution that enhanced the building at night without creating traffic problems.

The idea of ​​studying a "breathable skin" is inspired by the context, the warehouse is located in a peripheral area of ​​Filottrano, where the factories of the industrial area give way to the cultivated hills that open up the landscape towards Jesi.

Eight colors generate the transition between artifice and nature and vice versa, making the building dynamic and "alive", also based on the hours of day and night and weather conditions.The choice of lighting fixtures was strongly influenced by the concept and complete the poetics of the project.
