Dream Up Arese, designed by Studio Nick Maltese for TEA Spa, rethinks the traditional concept of the shopping centre food court, transforming a rest area into a relational, inclusive and immersive space. The project stems from the desire to create a place that welcomes people naturally, facilitating orientation, permanence and interaction, while moving beyond the idea of a simple transit area dedicated to quick consumption.
The new food court is free of architectural barriers and designed to ensure accessibility and comfort. Soft seating, defined areas and good acoustic insulation, achieved through the integration of sound-absorbing panels, make the space suitable not only for lunch breaks, but also for smart working, studying and informal meetings. Welcoming forms, warm materials and a contemporary visual language contribute to shaping a convivial and distinctive atmosphere.

Sustainability is one of the central elements of the intervention. The project uses flooring made from recycled materials, including materials obtained from recovered fishing nets, FSC-certified wood, low-VOC paints and LED lighting. The colour palettes, inspired by nature, together with the choice of materials based on circular principles, create a balance between aesthetics, environmental responsibility and quality of experience.

The sensory immersion is entrusted to a system of custom furnishings supplied by Augusto Contract, combined with tables and chairs by Pedrali. Arched structures, variations in light, textures and colours accompany visitors through a sequence of different atmospheres. Dream Up Arese thus becomes a new idea of public space: a food court capable of bringing together design, sustainability, comfort and immersive art.
