BIG-GAME has been commissioned by Swiss architect Guillaume Burri to design the interior of two apartments created in an old glass-brick factory. The old factory is located in Eclepens, a small industrial village in the region of Lake Geneva, surrounded by the Swiss countryside.
The idea was to create furniture that would include most functions needed in a living space: stairs, storage, kitchen, etc. This approach allows for space optimization and gives a distinctive language to the interiors. As these two apartments are meant to be rented out, the installations had to comply with Swiss standards for the renting market. The installations are made from oiled timber panelling which creates a contrast with the pure white volumes of the interiors. On the top floor, a wide desk in the bedroom extends through an opening in the wall to create a window connected with the living room. In the smaller rooms, the system is adapted to create a small desk, a wardrobe and shelves.
