Situated in the heart of Wimbledon, Efes Premium Restaurant is a refined culinary destination that elevates Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine through a seamless blend of contemporary design and Anatolian heritage. Designed by Kapeti Interior Architecture, the restaurant embodies a rich cultural narrative, drawing inspiration from the ancient city of Ephesus and the deep-rooted traditions of Anatolian and Aegean craftsmanship.
Envisioned by Servet Yuksel, who led the project as both design director and project manager, Efes Premium was conceived as more than a dining space—it is an immersive experience. The restaurant's design reflects a harmonious fusion of history and modernity, creating an inviting atmosphere where guests can feel at home, celebrate special moments, and return time and again.
At the core of the concept lies Ephesus (Efes), one of antiquity’s most illustrious cities. Once home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Ephesus provided a wealth of historical and architectural inspiration. This legacy is intricately woven into Efes Premium’s design, where materiality, texture, and form pay homage to its grandeur.
A collaboration between Kapeti Interior Architecture – London and Sonraki Interior Architecture – Istanbul, the project integrates a carefully curated selection of materials from both Turkey and the UK. Traditional metalwork, stone, and ceramics reflect the artisanal heritage of Central Anatolia and the Aegean, while exquisite marble surfaces, sourced from Turkey’s finest quarries, enhance the restaurant’s elegant aesthetic. The furniture merges British and Turkish influences, reinforcing the dialogue between two distinct yet complementary design cultures.
The upper floor is designed to host Anatolian Fasıl nights, bringing guests an immersive experience of live music and cultural tradition. A dedicated stage accommodates various performances, while the open kitchen on the ground floor places culinary artistry at the forefront, inviting diners to witness the preparation of authentic Turkish dishes. This carefully considered layout transforms dining into a sensory journey, where architecture, gastronomy, and culture converge.
Efes Premium stands as a beacon of London’s evolving Turkish dining scene, offering not just a meal, but a voyage through Anatolian heritage—reinterpreted for a contemporary audience.
