The Eicc8 project is the office of a group of engineers in a province in the north central region of Vietnam, where the climate is very hot and humid and there are two distinct seasons, sunny and rainy, hot and cold. Therefore, the requirement before making the design plan is to create a building with high ventilation, shielding the affected areas of rains and storms, besides ensuring the element of taking advantage of natural energy and creating a partition saving space, ensuring the ventilation and connection of all interior spaces.

The idea to be built is a central area, where it is possible to solve both the microclimate and the traffic connection, creating a big link for the whole house- a large vertical atrium. The architects dedicated a quarter of the area in the central area to create a lake and a flexible curved steel staircase around the lake to connect the two floors with the atrium and create an impressive space. This is considered as a highlight as well as a buffer air zone of the whole building.

This atrium is designed with the condition of “emotional balance”, and “chroma contrast”. The curvilinear shape of the lake and the stairs will meander from the bottom to the end of the atrium to get light for the whole building. Along with the green trees arranged alternately inside, the lake will always create a cool breeze to help regulate the air for the buffer zone. People will move along the north-south axis and the light follows the east-west axis, thus a scene between concrete, air, light, steam, wind, trees are formed vividly.

All the working areas are connected to the nature in the center of the house by glass walls to maximize the view. Light also has the ability to change the ratio of space to bring different feelings into the same area of the house, purposefully turning this space into a place worth working, turning the harsh climate into a relaxing energy source, saving electricity thanks to the sun and wind, reducing the temperature inside the office thanks to the lake and trees .

Above all, the value of this project also lies in the happiness of the users. The members of the office will spend eight hours a day working here, they work in their own space but still see each other through the trees. Their office is filled with light and the absolute balance of eternal green energy, enveloping and blending.
