As you enter Elcielo you are immedietley met with warm hues, tropical plants, and trinkets from Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos personal collection. Tucked in Union Market's La Cosecha, DesignCase was tasked with bringing Chef Juan's vision to life.

All restaurants of the Elcielo group (Bogotá, Medellín and Miami) really utilize plants and use neutral colours, leather and wood in their look and feel. The goal was to give customers the sensation that they are a special guest dining at Chef Juan's home. For this reason, the space showcases personal photos of him and his family. The decor also features fashion books and Colombian handicrafts.

The atmosphere allows you to feel, whatever the season in DC, that we are in Colombia or in a tropical country with a warm climate.
