To allow for the arrival of one of France’s suburban train lines, refurbishment work was carried out at the station in Épône (a commune near Paris) to provide greater comfort and better accessibility for all passengers using the station. Among the works carried out were the raising and lengthening of the platforms, the installation of ramps for people with disabilities, and the creation of a new accessible walkway with the installation of three lifts.
The walkways have been covered with MIES R wire mesh in stainless steel, which provides greater safety and protection against falls by acting as a protective barrier while improving the aesthetics of the railway infrastructure. This project was carried out in collaboration with our distributor in France, MailleMetalDesign.
