Esso’s Benelux headquarters is composed of two searate buildings connected by an atrium. The building was carefully integrated into a landscaped area. The axis of the atrium is oriented towards the tower of the church known as Onze Lieve Vrouwe kerk in Breda. It took 27 months from the preliminary design to completion. The building was expanded in the late 1990s with an additional three units.
