FL Country House arises when the client is the architect himself, perfectly translating what he believes architecture to be: formal simplicity, a fluid layout, and an active integration with the landscape. More than just building a house, a lifestyle was created. A place to live good moments with family, to slow down, breathe, and contemplate.
The FL Country House is a space where time slows down and where simplicity becomes poetry. A continuous landscape, with wide horizons, a place to be seen and felt. Therefore, this project does not operate as an object: it operates as a place. Here, field and architecture meet without rupture — they meet by affinity.
Along the East-West axis, a design is supported that prioritizes spatial fluidity and the continuous dialogue between indoors and outdoors. The project is based on a minimalist approach, with light geometry. The house is single-story, a single white monolithic volume, subtly elevated from the ground; the floor slab, 50 cm above the terrain, is supported by recessed beams, enhancing the feeling of lightness; the structural overhang of three meters over the slope allows the volume to float in front of the elevation.
The interior is strategically segmented into three functional fields: social area, private area, and service area. Upon entering, the visitor is welcomed by the hall, to the right is a suite-office that establishes a direct relationship with the social area — which, in turn, is completely integrated between the living/TV room, kitchen/gourmet area, verandas, and patio with a pool and deck. A precise curation of low furniture preserves the visual field free of obstacles and enhances the connection with the landscape. In the private area, the master suite and two demi-suites are entirely clad in cabinetry with freijó finishing, as well as tauari wooden flooring, reinforcing warmth, naturalness, and tranquility. The service area, pantry, and laundry discreetly and functionally complete the program.
FL Country House demonstrates that architecture asserts itself when intention and precision walk hand in hand: a clear concept, intelligent implementation, structure serving form, and essential materiality. Without noise, without excess. Here, the concept converts into work — and the work returns truth to the concept. A contemporary refuge where architecture, landscape, and quality of life connect in harmony.
