The refurbishment of a modernist flat in the Putxet neighbourhood had a clear premise in its commission: to include storage for 110 metres of books. For this reason, the library is the main protagonist of the project. The bookshelves envelop the common space and unfold the façade like a shelter for the books, blending in with the old windows and shutters. The open-plan kitchen is the other main element: the island is a geometrically informal element that slips into the dining space and encourages visual and functional relations between the living and cooking spaces.
