SINGLE FAMILY HOME

Cupa Pizarras as Manufacturers

Sitting in the tree tops to obtain the best views and sunlight, this floating building is constructed with natural materials such as slate, wood and stone. Most notably, the exterior of the building is clad with a natural slate.

Designed by A54 Architects and developed by Sustainable Energy & Housing as their own showroom, the natural slate rainscreen comes from CUPACLAD 201 Vanguard.

In addition to this, part of the facade is clad in STONEPANEL, which is a natural stone panel guaranteed and certified for outdoor use. Meanwhile, INFERCOA black toned slat was used for pool edging as well as for landscape exterior surfaces.

More from the Manufacturer:

Innovative design, natural slate cladding and modern glass walls to reflect contemporary home trends.

This house has been developed by Sustainable Energy & Housing architects to become a Net Zero Energy Building (NZEB). A floating building representing a creative challenge, but both architecturally stunning and functional at the same time.

The home looks like a building floating among the trees to blend with the existing nature, seeking the best views and the sunlight. The project consists of an isolated building, with a ground floor, a first floor and a semi-basement which sits on the hillside, in the space generated by the hill as it slopes down, producing as little impact as possible and involving the least amount of civil work on the site.

One of the objectives of this house was the best use of traditional materials such as slate, wood, stone and glass, and the creation of a warm and comfortable environment inside the building. In fact, this split-level structure is covered with natural slate!

This contemporary 3 storey building is in total harmony with nature! The thermal energy which is necessary to make it self-sufficient is generated in the home itself, combining aerothermic and a photovoltaic system with battery. Besides this, the architects wanted it to blend with the natural landscapes while improving the efficiency of the dwelling. That’s the reason why it was decided to install CUPACLAD 201 Vanguard, a natural slate rainscreen cladding system that enhances the look of the building and match perfectly with wood and stone panels.

The large glass balconies and the exclusive inner courtyard make this showroom a key place to understand and feel the new architectural trends.

FLOATING AMONG TREES

CUPA STONE as Manufacturers

This floating building is constructed with natural materials such as slate, wood and stone. Most notably, the exterior of the building is clad in STONEPANEL™, the only natural stone panel certified and guaranteed for outdoor use. Designed by A54 Architects and developed by Sustainable Energy & Housing as their own showroom, INFERCOA black toned slate has been used for pool edging and for landscape exterior surfaces.

In addition to this, the natural slate rainscreen comes from CUPACLAD 201 Vanguard.

This family house located in the outskirts of Bilbao blends with the environment through the use of CUPA STONE natural materials such as STONEPANEL™ and INFERCOA. Sustainable Energy & Housing (SEH) built this house in six months using a new construction system, with a steel structure and patented enclosure walls. The house looks like a building floating among the trees. The architects wanted it to blend with the natural landscape while improving the efficiency of the studio. This is the reason why they chose natural materials obtained from nature, such as stone, in order to obtain good living comfort as well as a contemporary look.

Part of the facade is cladded in STONEPANEL™, the only natural stone panel guaranteed and certified for outdoor use. This innovative system of CUPA STONE has an incorporated mechanical anchor for installation on surfaces higher than two meters. These panels are certified by the most prestigious European organizations such as BBA-Agrément Certificates in the United Kingdom.

INFERCOA slate, an exclusive CUPA STONE product, has been used for the swimming pool edges. Highly versatile, INFERCOA is a unique black toned slate used for any kind of interior or exterior applications. Resistant, adaptable and elegant, INFERCOA also creates natural environments in different parts of the garden. Finally, its high anti-slip coefficient with a characteristic rugged finish makes it the ideal paving for the front yard of the house.

This house is a Net Zero Energy Building, that is self-sufficient in energy needs, combining aerothermic and photovoltaic system with battery.
