Single-family house - FORREST HOUSE is located in the park scenery of the old part of Wroclaw. The timeless, modern architecture is exposed on the background of old trees and corresponds with the historical buildings of the neighborhood. The land parcel has a very attractive, intimate location next to the park. The surroundings of the real estate are rather historical buildings, but also new buildings refer to the existing landscape of architecture. Local plan quite strictly defines the conditions in the field of building development. An important factor which determined the shape of the house is the long and narrow shape of the plot. The functional program of the house meets the needs of a family of four. Free professions carried out by investors and work at home were the premise for designing also a studio. According to these criteria, the architect proposed a program in which on the ground floor there are: kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, bathroom with sauna and dressing room, toilet, utility room, laundry, work and garage. On the first floor there are 3 rooms and a bathroom. The studio is located in the front part of the house and constitutes its independent part. The central part of the house is a day zone, which from the east through the dining room and kitchen opens to the park, and from the west by a large glazing connects the dining room with a garden accessible only to users. The salon on the north and west side also opens with wide glazing for the garden, but it is a completely separate space. Part of the building located in the center of the plot from the north-east is a night-recreation zone. The owners have at their disposal a bedroom open to the park and a spacious bathroom with a sauna, from which one can go directly to the garden. Floor of the house - zone for children and guests, 3 spacious rooms and a bathroom. The contemporary, horizontal shape of a house with a gable roof naturally fits into the geometry of a long and narrow plot, and the traditional rectangular plane on the gable roof gives the whole a timeless character. Partially glazed house structure in the Total Glass system. The essence of the system is to create a perfect harmony between a traditional wooden window and a unique appearance that fits in with the ultramodern architectural style. From the outside, only the glass with an aesthetic black stripe is visible. The frameless, minimalist plane of the windows emphasizes the modern architectural image. In the interiors, however, the wooden frames of window frames of large glazing break the modern standard by introducing the warmth and nobility of traditional material. Visible from the inside wooden frames and wings Total Glass allow you to combine the atmosphere of "home focus" with a panorama of the outside landscape. It is because of them, the building's surroundings penetrates into its interior. The horizon is widening, because wide windows remove the barriers between the exterior and the interior of the house. Large glazings allow you to almost feel that we are bringing our garden home and we become part of it, even though we are still inside. The shape of the ground floor of the building from the west as a patio separates the dining room from the living room giving a cozy breath, giving also an extension of the living room.
The building uses modern, energy-saving solutions for heating and ventilation. The project uses traditional, high-quality ceramic materials for the construction of walls, ceilings and roofing. The elongated shape of the gray brick on the facade emphasizes the timeless character and the message of modern architecture, which value is to combine what is timeless with what is modern and technologically advanced.
