In one of the largest and most crowded cities of Cyprus, Limassol, the demand in the residential complex designed by the architectural office ARMEFTIS PARTNERS, was to deliver a place that will stand out for its high aesthetics and a sense of calm coming from its image.
The intervention in the urban fabric was done without exaggeration but with a modern design. Grand Park adopts a color palette of natural tones, such as sparkling white, the natural dark color of the wood, and a light neutral marble gray. The design lines are simple, sometimes they get in and sometimes they get out from the shell of the building, grabbing the attention of the passers-by. Smaller and larger wall openings allow natural light to penetrate into the interior and flood the space. Advanced aluminium systems, such as curtain walls, hinged and sliding systems, unify the internal with the external environment, but at the same time, they fully maintain the safety of the building. The small interventions in some points of the façade, such as the wooden cladding, are characteristics of the unique architectural expression and design, and show a tendency of differentiation. Glass railings were chosen for the Grand Park project, as they express a feeling of freedom for those who want to enjoy beautiful and calm moments on their balcony. Passing through the interior of the building, the decoration is very elegant, expressed in earthy color tones, and brings a feeling of warmness that is appreciated and also demanded by the occupants.
