After twenty years in Soho, Howard Greenberg wanted to combine his two galleries specializing in classic photography and relocate to the midtown art market. In the main gallery, LUBRANO CIAVARRA inserted a custom tongue-and-groove oak “box” that houses a smaller gallery and two private viewing rooms. LUBRANO CIAVARRA selected a limited palette of white oak in a range of mild-dark to warm tones, which in combination with gray-green and mild ochre walls recalls libraries of the early 1900’s. The reinterpretation of generous baseboard and crown trim reinforce the perception of an approachable residential space.
