Highcliff

HighCliff, a 73-storey apartment tower, imposes only a small footprint on the environment.  The building’s overall form is designed specifically to suit the site and to take advantage of the Hong Kong harbour view.

The curtain wall façade and the selection of glazing result in a harmonious relationship to the wooded hillside and the sky beyond.  The design avoids obvious and loud ostentation. The emphasis throughout is restrained visual simplicity.

HighCliff experiences lower wind-induced stresses than would be experienced by a rectangular building of similar height.  Water in inter-connected roof top tanks acts as a massive and dynamic counterweight to oscillations during Hong Kong’s periodic typhoons.
