The notorious guests told about the trends of hotel design development in Russia, its influence on all the aspects of the living environment and about the Russian-Italian cooperation.

According to Alexander FEDOTOV, the president of Organizing Committee of Moscow Design Week, “Hospitality Design has vast potential and unlimited opportunities. This exhibition will be able to reflect the whole range of the services branch – from dishes, furniture and interior to architecture. In 2018 Russia is hosting FIFA World Cup an event influencing the infrastructure of hospitality in general: 11 participating cities, hundreds of hospitals, thousands of restaurants and places of entertainment all over the country. Obviously the growing branch requires a platform for promotion and networking. We would be happy to provide such a framework to the field. The cooperation with Fiera Milano brings our project Hospitality Design to an international level and we are delighted that this deal has been closed”.

The organizers of the event are aming to reach the ambitious goal of uniting all the branches of hospitality field. Architects, designers, furniture and equipment producers are presenting the newest specialties of the hotel and restaurant business as well as cutting edge developments in the spheres of ecology, technologies and security that are inalienable parts of the branch.

Michele PERINI, the president of Fiera Milano, points out that “cooperation with Moscow Design Week has a strategic meaning for the company. We have long been watching the development of design and services market in Russia and we are delighted to indicate the qualitative change of the recent years. The company owners of services industry pay great attention to details, design and quality of the services provided – this shows systematic approach to business. This topic is interesting for both branch representatives and general consumers. This B2B project is unprecedented in Russia and we are ready to become the pioneers”.

The long-term project Hospitality Design is based on the traditions of Italian-Russian friendship and strong experience of the international exhibition Host that takes place in Milan and enjoys worldwide success. Hospitality Design will take place in Moscow on annual basis. Pierpaolo LODIGIANI, CEO of Fiera Milano Russia, elaborates: “This year we are only announcing the project and it has already attracted such acknowledged participants from the world design sphere as Paola Navone, Federico Spagnulo and Dante Benini. In October 2014 the full-scale exhibition will take place within Moscow Design Week. Moreover, we are planning to expand Hospitality Design to the state of a self-sufficient event that will involve all the market players – hotels, restaurants, designers, producers from national and international levels. We expect this exhibition to become one of the major parts of the world infrastructure of hospitality basing on the long-term experience of organization of field specific exhibition Host, Milan that enjoys worldwide success (1 000 m2, 1 700 participating companies)”.

During the press conference and the official opening ceremony of Hospitality Design 2013 president of Fiera Milano Michele Perini also presented the exposition of the innovative stand EXIHS (Excellent Italian Hospitality Services) Fiera Milano devoted to the hotels of the future that was developed by the celebrated designer and architect Dante Benini (Dante O.
