The plan is to design a garage house for a client in his 40s. Mt.Fuji could be seen from the site where it is suddenly elevated at 20 meters, on the top of a small hill. Nearby, there are many lots that were developed by big real estates, and it is next to a quiet residential area. The road in front of the road in front of the thin and narrow triangular -shaped site is slightly curved; tree over 10 meter-tall spread on the south-east side of the site, and the south-west side is right next to a park. Since it is located on the boundary between the quiet residential area and the forest, it is a residential site that is situated within a green environment just like a holiday house. The client wanted a residential space that could utilize this rich environment and also accommodate his hobbies- car and motorbikes.

The building is placed as a long and narrow volume to face the forest in the south-east. On considerations about how the living space should open up to the forest, the floor and aperture level were determined so that the top and most beautiful part of the tree would be coming into sight from the living space . The floor levels for the garege, bedroom and loft were shifted so that all the spaces would be connected on the cross section in the linear living space that is 16 meter-long, 3 meter-wide and 4 meter-tall. Even though the two cars and six motorcycles are stored in the garege on the first floor, the cars could be seen at the same level from the living room by lift-ing them up with a biopost lift. Moreover, the bikes are hanged from the hatch of the living room on the second floor, so that they could be exhibited in the living room.

This design is special in terms that the living space and garege space almost occupy the same area in the house. By having spaces that intertwine with each other proportionately according to the scales fo people, cars and motorbikes, this house has a simple parallel volume with multiple functions.
