The house is in an exclusive residential estate on the edge of a coastal forest just behind the primary dune on the Indian Ocean seaboard in Umhlanga. Designed for a  couple with young children who love outdoor living and contemporary style homes

The Estate site restrictions allowed only a single storey so to gain views of the sea above the forest in front the roof was designed as an alfresco terrace
