The clients requested an apartment where the social areas would be integrated, turning the kitchen, living, and dining rooms into one large space.
They also wanted bedrooms with plenty of storage and the use of more natural materials.
It was a renovation of an apartment purchased off-plan. However, the original layout was mostly maintained, with only small adjustments to door openings and the integration of the balconies — both in the private area, connecting to the master suite, and in the social area, connecting to the living room.
Additional electrical outlets were installed, and plumbing points were adjusted to accommodate the new proposed layout.
The concept of this project is inspired by nature and Brazilian roots, using traditional materials and techniques without losing the essence of contemporary architecture. Combined elements create an immersive, multisensory experience, inviting the residents to appreciate the richness of Brazilian culture and nature.
The clients wanted more natural materials.
Thus, we used Brazilian natural stone, which highlights the beauty of our resources. The sculptural bench by Hugo França has organic shapes that evoke the fluidity of nature. The wood grain on the panels, reminiscent of woven straw, refers to traditional craftsmanship.
The furniture by Brazilian designers combines tradition and innovation, reinforcing cultural identity and supporting the creative economy. The ceramic brick flooring recalls the charm of old tiles, bringing a sense of warmth and nostalgia.
The apartment as a whole revolves around the concept of materials that evoke Brazilian identity and roots.
