ILDS OFFICE

I LIKE DESIGN STUDIO as Architects

This project is a renovation of 30 years old townhouse to be a small office with limit budget. The original building is extended full area. The designer demolishes all additional spaces, rearrange function and make 2 parking lots at the front.

Inside space on the 1st floor is prepared to be working area. It is an open plan for easy relocation or expansion of space. Besides, it is connecting to a pantry with a small outdoor resting area. There is a bathroom under the stair for the most efficiency space. The 2nd floor area is for manager’s room and storage. There is a private garden in outdoor area. Wood slats is used for blocking unattractive view outside.

The decorative made with simple materials. The outside façade made from expanded metal to be able to see through the original building and to harmonize with the neighboring context. Wood slats panel is an artificial wood. The interior space on the 2nd floor used to be a wooden structure, which were dismantled and replaced by steel structure. The 1st floor ceiling was canceled in order to get more floor-to-ceiling height. The beam shows the concrete texture according to the original condition. PU self-leveling flooring system is used on the ground floor.
