The brief demanded a cold and minimalist atmosphere without warm colours and materials. For this purpose the we used materials such as fiber glass, lacquered MDF, stone, glass and metal. The apartment is 110 sqm and accommodates a pitched kitchen on the first floor with a dining table and a sitting area whereas two bedrooms and a bathroom are located on the second floor.
The staircase was an important element in the design of the dwelling; a tall black fibreglass wall panel was built forming a centrally located vertical unit serving not only as a handrail but also for lighting the stairs. On the second floor, this central element was enclosed with a safety glass. The TV Stand, the lamp above the sofa, the dining table, kitchen, the hand railing of the stairs and the bedroom furniture were custom made, in an attempt to create a unique and incomparable atmosphere.
