Irtas Getaway – Space is a private retreat conceived as a quiet architectural escape embedded within the natural landscape of Irtas. The project explores the relationship between architecture, topography, water, and the surrounding agricultural landscape, creating a sequence of spaces that gradually transition between interior and exterior.

The house is organized around a series of low, pavilion-like volumes with pitched roofs, allowing the architecture to respond to the scale and character of the site. A central outdoor environment connects the different functions, while terraces and stepped levels follow the existing slope rather than opposing it.

A small swimming pool is positioned at the edge of the terrain, extending from the main platform and creating a strong relationship with the hillside. The pool becomes both a visual element and a moment of pause within the sequence of spaces.

The material palette is deliberately warm and natural: terracotta roof tiles, timber structure and screens, light textured plaster, stone, and carefully integrated greenery. Large glazed openings dissolve the boundaries between the enclosed living spaces and the landscape, while timber louvers provide shade, privacy, and a changing rhythm of light.

Rather than creating a single dominant building, Irtas Getaway – Space is imagined as a collection of connected spaces within the landscape—a place for slowing down, gathering, swimming, cooking, and simply experiencing the surrounding nature.

Architecture becomes a framework for the landscape, rather than an object placed upon it.
