Riyadh Capital commissioned David T'Kint studio to design the first standalone JW Steakhouse & JW Glass Garden in Saudi Arabia on King Fahd Road in Riyadh.
Concept
Designed to take the guest out of the ordinary, JW Glass Garden immerses them in a green oasis. In addition to being surrounded by greenery, The space features herbs and other botanicals which are used by the chef and beverage leads to flavor the menu. The space is fully glazed creating an indoor/outdoor connectivity. The aesthetics follow the language of the JW Steakhouse. (Open for lunch and dinner)
The JW Steakhouse is one of the key brand pillars of JW Marriott Hotels. The brand’s signature restaurant, inspired by the founder of Marriott Hotels, the late J. Willard Marriott, is world-known for being timeless, authentic, and the ultimate NYC-style steakhouse motivated by tradition. The JW Steakhouse has established itself as a leading American Steakhouse, features a range of hand-selected cooked-to-perfection USDA cuts, and offers an exceptional experience with attention to detail, craft and upscale service. The menu is a superior selection of steakhouse classics, sustainably sourced seafood, delicious seasonal sides, and their legendary cheesecake. (Open for dinner only)
JW Glass Garden
Entry to JW Glass Garden &JW Steakhouse is through vast leather doors. A long corridor gives access to both outlets and provides a journey before the dining experience begins. The focal point is the JW Bar which encourages guests along the corridor through blue wall panels and barrel-shaped ceilings.
The grounding feature is a tree in the heart of the bar that penetrates the ceiling. David T'Kint has created a warm and inviting atmosphere with sculpted panels on the walls and a variety of low, high, banquette and bar seating topped by mirror-clad ceilings.
The indoor space is visually connected with the gardens outside, taking guests out of the ordinary and immersing them in a green oasis. The ceilings are elaborately rhythmed with beams and lushed by the greenery, where chefs and mixologists grow an extensive range of herbs and botanicals for their garden-fresh dishes and beverages. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer a sense of light and space, whilst hanging troughs provide gardening space for more herbs. Black and white flooring give diners a feeling of being in a traditional orangery.
JW Steakhouse
The moody atmosphere of the steakhouse is decorated with dark brown wooden floors, cream walls, wall panels, and rich midnight blue accents. The show kitchen allows guests to watch all the fun action and busy chefs throughout the service. The center of the restaurant is highlighted with mosaic flooring and a communal table headed by stately wing chairs. All the furniture is upholstered with soft leather. Retro-inspired lighting softens the ambience.
