The Kicco philosophy is that:
“Good things are made with the heart. Like a composer writing a symphony, or an artist who paints a masterpiece. At Kicco, coffee is our art, and we create it with passion and enthusiasm.”
To this end, Tridente Boyce has been working with Kicco since 2012 rolling out specialty outlets for their customers to enjoy locally roasted coffee and speciality products crafted in South Australia.
During 2014 to facilitate the expansion of the franchise Tridente Boyce, in conjunction with Simon Cecere, created an all-encompassing style guide and kit of parts.
As an extension of this specific Kicco brand development, Tridente Boyce was requested to create an exemplar specialty outlet for customers to enjoy the Kicco products.
The brief was for the new outlet to be uniquely designed for coffee lovers to relish the unadulterated Kicco experience in a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere.
Centred in the middle of a dated shopping centre concourse on a tired patterned terrazzo floor the bold brass box-like form successfully draws one’s eye and attention to the integrated signage that states “Kicco” in large brass lettering.
Reinforcing the corporate palette of process black, gold [pantone 130] and metallic brass a restrained palette has been used. This simple combination of a black steel plinth, a weathered natural brass mesh bench with feature etched brass panels is very much in keeping with the strong branding already established across Adelaide.
This minimalism allows the sometimes-chaotic collection of products, crockery and food of an active café to be suitably framed and accommodated. Presenting a new outlet that is immediately comfortable and inviting, and most importantly functional and successful.
