From an old workshop to a completely new working environment. We normally work with Klift Roest as a supplier, but for their new location, they turned to us. The challenge? Transforming a building that was once used as an industrial workspace into an office and showroom where clients can explore the different materials and possibilities Klift Roest has to offer.
The biggest design challenge was creating a showroom where the many samples could be presented in a clear and organised way, without losing the open character of the space. In her design, Inez therefore deliberately opted for custom made elements and organic shapes. She designed organically shaped sample racks that also create a natural division around the meeting table. This keeps the different samples literally within reach during a conversation, without making the space feel busy or crowded.
As soon as you enter, the burgundy pantry catches the eye. Its organic shape and carefully considered styling make it much more than just a pantry. It is the focal point of the showroom and immediately creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The colour palette is derived from Klift Roest’s brand identity, with the pantry in its signature burgundy giving the interior a distinctive character of its own.
The office spaces are located on the first and second floors. Despite the limited floor area, Inez managed to create different types of workspaces that suit the way the team works day to day. From sit stand workstations and informal meeting areas to a dedicated workspace for working with samples and a pantry that provides a place for coffee and conversation.
The result is a working environment that reflects both the way Klift Roest works and the way they welcome their clients. Owners Jonno and Gioya were closely involved from the very first sketches. By staying in close contact throughout the entire process and making decisions together, the interior gradually took shape into a space that truly feels like Klift Roest.
