« Le 7ème continent » is a window manifesto installation created for the « GO FOO GOOD movement, for a more responsive fashion industry », a national operation launched in France by the Galeries Lafayette. Hors-studio has committed to the revaluation waste area by making this artwork composed of crushed plastic garbage. The designer-duo used a controversial and pollutant material. In an environmental approach, they transformed and sublimated this material, inviting people to use their consciousness by viewing their trash in a different way.
This 3m x 1m50 suspended work is made of plastic shavings, and agglomerated by heat. Each piece has been printed and colored with a sublimation printing technic ( hot printing ).
