The Lienihof transforms the former industrial estate of Lienhard Söhne carpentry into a mixed residential and business estate. The building structure is directly derived from the scale of the distance to the plot boundaries and the planning regulations. The complexe figure with 20 corners forms the basis for a residential building that is created by the combination of apartments that are positioned in different ways and have a range of floor plans. 32 apartments, various businesses and a group of nursing facilities are accessed from three entrances. A T-shaped network of paths creates a large entrance area and connects all the walkways and staircases, thereby making the communal way of living a tangible experience.
