How to feel on holiday at home? Architect and interior designer Georgios Kontaxakis has a brilliant answer: the complete renovation of an apartment in Chania, Greece, which turned into an indoor oasis of relaxation.
Thanks to the exceptional location in front of the Cretan Sea, the final result is stunning. For this 70 sqm apartment, the aim of the architect was to create a minimalist but comfortable style. Georgios Kontaxakis made extensive use of neutral colors and sleek lines, leading the viewer's eyes towards the blue horizon over the sea.
A particularly fascinating effect is given by "Malindi Dream" wallpaper by Tecnografica (Landscapes collection, color variant: Blue). With a clear reference to the homonymous city in Kenia, "Malindi Dream" is an abstract graphic subject that recalls the wonderful blue shades of the ocean. In this way, one horizon joins together the incredible landscape outside and the wallpaper in the living room.
The selected finish for this project is TNT, the Tecnografica wallpaper characterized by a structured spatulate effect, that allows the reproduction of bright colors and very fine-detailed designs.
