The football centre of ASD Treporti will welcome a new locker room building, conceived as a contemporary and welcoming addition to the existing sports complex.
Designed to support the continued growth of the club’s youth sector, the new building will provide young athletes with new dedicated spaces while contributing to the overall quality and identity of the sports centre. Located alongside the existing bocce facility and close to the covered grandstand, the new volume is conceived as part of a broader dialogue between the different buildings, fields and open spaces that make up the complex.
Rather than being designed as a rigid and purely functional block, the building takes on a lighter and more dynamic character through its roof, which gently extends beyond the façades and creates a distinctive covered porch. This element becomes one of the main features of the project, offering a sheltered space between the building and the outdoor areas while creating a more welcoming setting for athletes, families and spectators.
The connection with the existing bocce facility is equally conceived as a light and permeable element. The passage between the two buildings creates a dedicated entrance for athletes while maintaining visual and environmental continuity with the existing structure. The alternation between covered and open sections gives the connection a rhythm of its own, allowing the existing building to retain its natural light and ventilation.
The new volume gradually changes in height towards the grandstand, opening itself more generously towards the public area. This subtle movement gives the building a more fluid profile and helps it relate to the scale of the surrounding spaces, avoiding a rigid or imposing presence.
The material and colour choices further strengthen the relationship with the existing sports complex. The light grey façades continue the tones of the bocce building, while the darker elements of the roof, details and structural connections recall the anthracite colour of the main grandstand. The result is a simple and contemporary architectural language, designed to fit naturally into its surroundings while giving the complex a renewed and recognisable identity.
The project therefore aims to be more than a new locker room building: it is a new place for the club and its community, designed around the daily life of young athletes and around the moments of encounter that make a sports centre a shared space. Through its welcoming porch, its light connection with the existing buildings and its softly articulated profile, the new building introduces a fresh and coherent presence within the ASD Treporti sports complex.
