Lounge 1

Lounge 1 in the Schengen area has been expanded and renovated. At its centre is an open space ringed with shops, bars and restaurants that all passengers have to cross to reach the planes. The blue glass screen of the food court jutting into the space makes special play of light and colour. Most of the flooring consists of black granite composite tiles gritted with mirror flecks. The departures in colour, texture and dimensions lend identity to the open space. Light lines in the floor strengthen this effect and add to the haphazard orientation desired here.
