LumiPod 6

While the thought of being one with nature is nice in concept, it’s tough to resist the comfort of luxury hotel amenities. What if you could have both?

LUMICENE unveils the first photos of LumiPod 6. With 26sqm it offers a layout and experience worthy of a 5* hotel. LumiPod offers a panoramic Lake view while blending harmoniously into the property, thanks to its douglas exterior cladding.

As for the inside, LumiPod offers a bedroom, a kitchen area, a dining area, a bathroom and a builtin wardrobe. It is fully equipped with a smart home system by Lutron to maximize comfort and offer a unique experience of reconnecting with Nature from the bed.

Every detail was imagined along minimalist principles, but without sacrificing the quality of the materials used. The joinery is tailor made in natural oak wood veneer, ceiling panels are covered with wool felt and the bed is like suspended, integrated in a shallow niche. LumiPod is designed around LUMICENE® windows, a patented curved and reversible window concept manufactured by Saint-Gobain. It eliminates the boundary between interior and exterior to make way for an unforgettable experience.

Thanks to the panoramic view, city dwellers get to reconnect with Nature, without losing intimacy. A motorized curved curtain covers the entire glass surface, allowing to block out the daylight.

LumiPod is manufactured in Lyon, France. It is now available in 3 sizes: 5, 6 and 8 meters in diameter, from the 18sqm minimalist bedroom to the 42sqm family cocoon.

Being in Nature helps us reconnect with our inner selves, which is why we should enjoy it in a responsible way. The cabin minimizes its environmental impact by being positioned on screw piles. It can disappear without trace. Made-up of 2 half-modules prefabricated in LUMICENE’s workshop, LumiPod is compatible with road and maritime transport and assembled on site within 2 days.

LumiPod is now available in Europe where the first units were installed over the last couple of years. Manufacturing lead time is currently about 3 to 4 months depending on size and options. LumiPod will soon be available in the United States and Australia where several projects are under development.

LUMICENE is a French company developing a circular and reversible window concept in collaboration with Saint-Gobain, as well as prefab cabins such as LumiPod.
