Maison 0.39

The project of the « MAISON 0.39 » is located in the outskirts of Nîmes, a southern roman town in France. The project site is characterized by a dense vegetation, natural rocks and abundant sunshine. The client’s wish was to create a modern provincial farmhouse. The agency PASCUAL Architecte answered with three simple but radical volumes. Each of them was created with a different gross material and exists for itself: Natural stone (issued of the construction site), wooden printed concrete and rusted steel. Client and Architect found a common attraction for the natural beauty of gross materials. The entry is concealed in the patio, created by the three volumes. An architectural walk leads to the outdoor pool. The living spaces are separated by different levels of platforms: The night area, the living- and dining room, the outdoor terrace and finally the pool. The contemporary house “MAISON 0.39” responds to the waits of the contracting authority, associating atmospheres, materials and comfort of life. The contemporary provincial family house fit into its environment
