The project consists of erecting an endogenous place whose powerful architecture conveys a corporate culture. The building is set in a natural space without relief dominated by the silhouette of the bridge crossing the Dordogne river. It exploits this horizontal dimension by blending its lines, and those of the car park, into the natural traces of the alluvial plain.
The landscaped car parks are rejected to the rear of the site, to the south, in order to make the northern façade visible from the road. It displays a frank horizontality that anchors the building elegantly in the landscape and intermittently reveals its interior thanks to the rhythm of the bays. These alternate between glazed and solid walls clad in Landes pine cladding. To the south, the landscape is introduced by the mimetic play of the architecture with its shading and plant subjects.
The main structure of the building is made up of a wood-metal frame, supporting roofs covered with a PVC membrane, on which solar panels are installed. The east and west gables are made of rough concrete.
The plan is divided into three naves stretched from east to west. They adopt a shed profile to capture the soft, unchanging light from the north and irrigate the work spaces. These are arranged on the road side, separated from the convivial spaces and private rooms to the south by a wide central nave. In a central position, the common reception, relaxation and restaurant areas function as a link between the car park and the outdoor garden to the south and the large space serving as the median nave. This porosity of spaces makes it possible to welcome the user and naturally guide his or her path towards the manufacturing spaces that quickly emerge in the visual field. When entering and leaving the factory, the user walks under the galvanised steel shades and crosses the wooden terraces that extend the interior living spaces. The gradual shift from the metal and wood canopy to the foliage of the trees poeticizes the threshold of the building and enchants the craftsman's world.
